Damian Carr
Damian Carr is an internationally recognised innovator in catheter technology and minimally invasive medical devices, and the founder of Eyedea MedTech Education. Driven by a lifelong curiosity about how things work — and why they matter. Alongside experiencing health issues as a child, he was set on a path in MedTech. After a decade of designing over 200 devices, he has since worked with hundreds of companies worldwide to advance medical device design. A thought leader in cardiovascular, neurovascular, and pulmonary systems, and author of The Catheter R&D Handbook (2025), Damian’s mission is to share his knowledge to empower people to create life-changing medical technologies as a means to influence a better future for all.

James Moran
I am a product designer and engineer focused on creating tangible solutions that have a meaningful, real-world impact on people’s lives. My work blends engineering rigour with thoughtful design, placing strong emphasis on new creative ideas informed by consumer experiences, observation, and feedback.
I work across consumer, industrial, and technology-driven projects, supporting ideas from early concept through to prototyping and production. Alongside client work, I develop my own ideas, giving me a practical understanding of commercial realities, sustainability considerations, and long-term product value.
Outside of my professional practice, I am passionate about the outdoors and spend much of my time on or near the ocean through watersports. This connection to natural environments strongly informs my personal values around sustainability, learning, and responsible interaction with the world around us.

Nisha Carr
Chief Happiness Officer
Nisha is the four-legged heart of the facility and our unofficial Head of Morale. A four-year-old blue merle collie, she lives on site and takes her role very seriously — especially when it involves people, playtime, or keeping a quiet eye on things.
Incredibly intelligent and endlessly friendly, Nisha is always tuned in to what’s going on around her. But make no mistake: if you have a ball in hand, you already have her full attention! Ball, toy, stick (or anything else a human is willing to throw) she’s ready and waiting, tail wagging.
Nisha is also a proud mum of five, all of whom have since grown up and headed off to homes of their own. These days, she’s enjoying life at a slightly slower pace, filled with games of catch, familiar faces, and plenty of well-earned affection.
Gentle, clever, and always happy to greet visitors, Nisha is a much-loved member of the team — and a daily reminder that every workplace is better with a dog like her around. “Throws appreciated. Hesitation not tolerated.”
